Beached Stingray

I was taking photos using a remote and producing this kind of headless wonder when I got invited to play in the big sandpit.

See, stingray skirt, beached.

I crossed the ties and tied them front and back. I like both versions, but I know how my sewing buddies like to peer at the construction and you can see more of it with the ties out of the way.

If I made this again,  I’d try messing around with the tie fastening idea a bit more, and have them long enough to wrap all the way round .

I hemmed it this morning, but it obviously needs to be an inch shorter. But, still good for rock frolicking. Conclusion, great casual long skirt, not too hard to make.

Love the colors you associated in this outfit. Also, great skirt (and scenery!)

It really suits you: stingray crossed with mermaid.

This is ace. I love draping on hips, I love how it bucks the rule of ‘don’t add bulk to your hips’ but manages to give a lovely shape. For my top heavy, smaller hipped-shape it makes my waist more defined. The placement of the drape is great on this garment
